Apples and pears make a satisfying snack while you’re on the go or can be used with cheese and crackers for an easy appetizer when company comes calling. We’ve got your favorites – Bosc and Bartlett Pears and lots of apples – Honey Crisp, Gala, Fuji, Cameo, Macoun, Golden Delicious, Pink Lady, Empire or MacIntosh. Or try one of our unusual or heirloom varieties – Gold Rush, Harelson Red, Jonathan, Ida Red, Jonagold, Mutsu, Winecrisp, Blondee, Evercrisp or Esopus Spitzenburgh. Sweet and flavorful grapes are perfect to snack on or when used to dress up a fruit platter – Jupiter or Mars – both seedless and delicious! Our fresh pressed Apple Cider is a favorite treat! Try our Orchard Blend – sweet and flavorful or Pink Lady – delightfully crisp and citrusy, with a distinctly Pink Lady sweetness.  Light bodied, but full flavored.  Spiced Hot Cider is perfect for these chilly days. Our cider also makes the perfect mixer for adult cocktails. A must try!!! Marynard Farms:  And now the holiday rush begins!  But don’t worry, Maynard Farms has lots of healthy and delicious produce to keep your fridge and pantry stocked during this busy time of year.  Choose from almost 30 varieties of apples for a quick and satisfying snack or use them to make a quick and delicious dessert for when company visits – sweet and crunchy favorites like Gala, Fuji, Honeycrisp or Macoun or something more uncommon like Evercrisp, Blondee, Winecrisp, Jonagold or Jonathan.  Our Heirloom varieties like Esopus Spitzenburg, Haralson Red, Northern Spy, Ida Red and Arkansas Black won’t disappoint! Maynard Farms: The dipping temperatures are helping it feel like fall!  So are the amazing apples being harvested at Maynard Farms!  This week we will be adding Golden Delicious to our already abundant apple line up! We’ll have all your favorites like Honey Crisp, Gala, Fuji, Macoun, Pink Lady, Empire, MacIntosh, Granny Smith, Evercrisp, Red Delicious and Cortland.  Or try one of our unusual or heirloom varieties – Jonathan, Northern Spy, Ida Red, Jonagold, Mutsu, Blondee, Bramley’s Seedling, Wine Crisp, Stayman Winesap or Esopus Spitzenburgh. Something for everyone! Fresh pressed Apple Cider is a true taste of fall, as are our delicious pears!  Crunchy Bosc or smooth and sweet Bartlett and Magness – it’s up to you!!  Grapes are always a pleaser – Concord, Jupiter and Mars will be at markets this weekend.  If you’re like us, you can’t let go of summer just yet – we will have delicious Yellow and White Peaches and Nectarines.  We’ll also have lots of flavorful plums to choose from – Big Red Plums, Flavor Rich, and Italian Prune Plums. Sweet, juicy and delicious!! Don’t forget your veggies! How about tender, delicious beans – Green, Wax, Flat, and yes, Marvel of Venice and Dragon’s Tongue – the choices!!! Try our sweet peppers in an array of fall colors – yellow, red, orange, purple and chocolate brown – crispy raw or delicious in chili or soups!  Eggplant Parmesan, anyone?  Heirloom eggplant in beautiful shades of purple and white are just perfect for your delicious dish.  Zucchini, summer squash, curly kale, tuscan kale, rainbow chard and garlic will also be available. 10 – 12   CAC(formerly Craic Agus Ceol) — C.A.C. is for “Craic Agus Ceol”, which means “fun and music” in Irish Gaelic.  What better name for a band that is all about combining fun and music.CAC is a band focusing on Irish, Americana and some country, bluegrass style music.

12 – 2   90 Years Running — Focusing mainly on roots music, 40’s &50′ music. classic rock and folk, stop by and feel some nostalgia.

Whispering Willows Wild Care: Whispering Willow Wild Care is an educational non-profit that was built on the passions and kind heart of Joyce Perry. Perry and her dedicated volunteers have been assisting wildlife for the last 17 years.  Because of the vast combination of training, experience and resources, each animal that comes to the center is given the best chance of rehabilitation and if possible – release into the wild.
