Maynard Farms: Need some healthy snacks for the big game this weekend? Maynard Farms has lots of delicious apples and pears to complete your big game buffet. Fruit platters, add some snap to a salad and something delicious for dessert – from sweet to tart, we have you covered! Empire, Fuji, Golden Delicious, Cameo, Jonagold, Evercrisp, Stayman Winesap, Braeburn, Ida Red, Gold Rush and more!! Bartlett and Bosc pears are a delicious reminder of warmer days….Bartlett are sweet and smooth and Bosc are crunchy and sweet – both are just wonderful. As always, our fresh pressed apple cider, served cold or hot, is always a welcomed treat. Potatoes are a satisfying and healthy side dish – Irish White, Carola Gold, Red Skinned Pink, Adirondack Blue and of course Sweet Potatoes!! All great on their own or toss cut slices of Adirondack Blue and Red Skinned Pink – for you Patriots fans or Irish White for the Eagles fans – with olive oil and sea salt, roast at 350 degrees until crispy for an anti-oxidant rich and delicious side dish!! Founded in 2008, RiverRun Community Montessori provides affordable individualized education in a community setting for preschool, elementary, and middle school aged children. We are the only Montessori school in Schenectady County with elementary and middle school programs. One of the important components of a RiverRun education is monthly field trips.

Electric City Bike Rescue
Electric City Bike Rescue will be at the Schenectady Greenmarket Oct. 1 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Our volunteers will be doing minor repairs, such as fixing flats and adjusting brakes, and teaching bike owners how to do it themselves.
Greenmarket attendees will also have a chance to make smoothies by pedaling a bike-mounted blender; and a chance to win a free bicycle in an art and essay contest.
First 20 people to bike to market get $2 tokens to spend at market.
