Maynard Farms: It’s back to school time and Maynard Farms has lots of healthy and delicious snack and lunch box ideas! New this week will be several types of grapes and Bosc pears! Yellow and White Peaches and Yellow and White Nectarines are always a favorite. Plums, blueberries, raspberries and late season strawberries taste like summer. We are picking new varieties of apples almost everyday – Jonathan, Autumn Crisp, Gala, McIntosh, Honey Crisp, Blondee, Kindercrisp, Dandy Red, Zestar and Ginger Gold! Fresh pressed apple cider. Red and Green Bartlett pears. If veggies are more your style, you can choose from colorful sweet peppers in yellow, red, orange, purple and green, heirloom eggplant in beautiful shades of purple and white, corn, baby beets, zucchini, summer squash, baby carrots, kirbies, cucumbers, kale, garlic, cauliflower and broccoli. Puckers Gourmet: Savor the last days of summer! Nothing says summer like a crunchy, fresh, delicious 1/2 sour pickle! Put one of these in the kids school lunch box? This pickle is a crowd favorite!
Taj Mahal Restaurant: Healthy and tasty Veggie Patties with lentils and spinach/kale. Vegan and gluten free from the India food basket known as Masala Vada.
