Soup! Cook-off a success
The 3rd annual Market Cook-off is over, and this year was the best! All three chefs created unique, flavorful soups which were a hit with the judges and crowd alike.

Congratulations to the winner, Chef Chris Euripidou of Farmer Boy Diner & Restaurant. A Johnson & Wales University graduate, Chris was born into the family business at Farmer Boy. He has worked full time for award-winning Epicurean Catering and at Molyvos restaurant in NYC. Chris has lead the kitchen at Farmer Boy Diner & Restaurant since 2006, using his expertise to shape the 30-year establishment into a restaurant that has a home-like feel with culinary flair. He's also teamed up with a talented brother and cousin to form Anthology Catering, providing Mediterranean cuisine with personalized service. Chris is about sustainability and support of local businesses, which are important factors in his decisions.

Huge thanks to our competing Chefs:
Chris Euripidou of Farmer Boy Diner - Minestrone (1st)
Kevin Brown of Café NOLA
- Gumbo (2nd)
Richard Genest of Moon & River Café
- Vegan Vegetable (3rd)

We couldn't have done it without our Special Events Coordinator Margaret Lazzeri. Thank you, Margaret!

Our esteemed judges this year were witty, conscientious, and arrived very hungry. Big thanks to (left to right):
