Market Stage: Trilogy A three piece ensemble presenting popular standards in fresh arrangements. Patricia Kernan plays lead on flute and clarinet; Tom Smith adds harmony and inventive solos on acoustic guitar; and Kevin Aldrich lays down a rhythmic groove on upright bass.

 

Children's Table: CircusYoga! with Christine Carpenter of Orenda Yoga and Healing Arts Come one, come all to the fun-est time on earth! CircusYoga blends the consciousness of yoga with the communal celebration of circus. CircusYoga fosters connection, play and communication through group games and invention, creative movement, circus skills, balance, partner yoga, and partner acrobatics. CircusYoga also emphasizes courage, trust, listening, cooperation and celebration!  Prior circus, acrobatic or yoga experience are not required — just a playful spirit!

 

Special event: The Bouncy Bounce, sponsored by the YMCA, will be returning to the market. The event will be held on the grass behind the band and managed by two employees. It is FREE of charge to children of all ages. Some weight restrictions will be in effect, so please check with the YMCA personnel.

The band delivers spirited vocals with banjo-ukulele and swinging fiddle by Kevin Aldrich, and energetic accompaniment with Dave Gerhan on piano, Ralph Brooks on accordion, and Ron Powles on drums.

12-2 Aspect Radio Aspect Ratio (a.k.a. Jim Gross and Izzy Singer) is a contemporary folk-rock duo who put the whimsy, the laughter, the fun into rock and roll! Their music reflects influences that range from R.E.M. to Hank Williams.

12-2 Whoa Nelly Hometown Rootsy-Americana band. Whoa Nelly first formed at a Schenectady Greenmarket jam in the late fall of 2008. Whoa Nelly plays acoustic music which draws from various traditions; bluegrass, alt-country, folk, gospel and blues, topping it off with three-part vocal harmonies. Whoa Nelly includes Peggy Lecuyer on mandolin, harmonica, guitar and vocals, Tim Barker on guitar and vocals, Karen Gilpin on guitar, vocals and banjo and Gene “Clembone” Lemme on stand up bass.
